Overland Trails was incorporated in 1984
and is owned and operated by Ed and Ellen Grant. In the early 80’s Ed,
with the help of a local contractor, dismantled, moved and restored a
100 year old log cabin in Ellijay, Georgia, which was named the Grant
Cabin. It became the cornerstone of the founding of Overland Trails Log
Homes. The Grant Cabin was a weekend getaway, but not for long as Ed’s
love for log homes and mountain living caused him to throw in the towel
on his career in the electronics industry and launch Overland Trails.
Ellen joined the company after their marriage in 1997.As the popularity of log homes
continued to grow, Overland Trails decided to partner with Heritage Log
Homes, one of the top producers of log home products in the nation.
Our experience combined with the quality of Heritage products gives our
customers the leading edge that they are looking for in a log home
company. In our short time with Heritage we have become one of the
top producers and have been given the following awards:
2003 - New Dealer of the Year
2005 - Commercial Dealer of the Year
Most Improved Dealer
2006 - Presidential Award for Sales Excellence We believe that a home built of logs reaches back to our American
heritage, the comfort, warmth and security of a time long ago. The

dream homes. We pride ourselves on a reputation of quality craftsmanship
and customer satisfaction.
In addition to Ed and Ellen, Overland Trails Heritage Log Homes has a great staff.

and Ron Moore are our
